Just published is a commission I undertook for Aramco World Magazine in October 2020. It was a surprise to discover that there is a Muslim Heritage Trail and that it lives in Woking, Surrey. Infact, the small but very beautiful Shah Jahan Mosque (the first purpose built mosque in the UK) is the beginning of the trail that ends at the Muhammadan Cemetery (the largest cemetery in the UK) via a Peace Garden that sits within a woodland area. I met and photographed Sadiya Ahmed who is founder of Everyday Muslim Heritage and writer Tharik Hussain who researched and developed the idea of a trail.
