A few years ago I was driving over Dartmoor, when I spotted a tiny chapel on the edge of the Moor in a place called Poundsgate. I stopped and read the service notes by the entrance to the chapel. I was surprised to read that there was just one service a month. My feeling was that the building was teetering on the edge of closure. So I photographed it, and since then, wherever I go, I try to find an interesting place of worship (be it rural, urban, big or small, Christian, Muslim, Jewish or otherwise), to photograph.
